Gormiti is landing !!

The great news today is Gormiti has landed at the suppliers and will be dispatched today, hurrah!! The bad news is the weather is poor, and the forcast for tommorrow is even worse, so we're not expecting to receive them before Monday 4th Feb. But you can always check out the Gormiti at ToyToyjac while you're waiting.

Other news today is we will be putting an order for Zeebeez (see picture) in next week, together with some cool Mario Kart Gacha and some Finger Paint Bubble Bath Tubes, so we've got some great items to look forward to over the next couple of weeks.

Kingdom Heart....?

The wonderful magic that Japan has over us never seems to diminish, we've just seen these Kingdom Hearts II figures available at our suppliers, they are a super detailed product by Square Enix Play Arts, each figure (5 in set) is approx 7" tall and fully articulated, a weapon is also included with each model. We've put in an inquiry to availability, so fingers crossed we might have them in stock in the near future!!

Waiting to hear when Gormiti is coming into supplier, might have to try another supplier if there is going to be a delay, they seem to be a bit slow in getting the stock in, Mandy Mixup is supposed to be launching this month and it's nearly over with no sign of stock?!

Gormiti

Gormiti the HUGE Italian collectable toy figures game is coming!! These little critters sold over 10 million units in their first quarter on sale in Italy!! We have put a reservation in to get hold of some as soon as they come into stock at the suppliers. As well as collectable figures, there are playsets and a strategy game involving the number printed on each figures foot and their stats on their corresponding data card. Check out the Official UK Gormiti Website for more info..

Doodle Do......!!!

We received an up to date catalogue from one of our suppliers yesterday and these little gems took our fancy - 4M2U Doodle coin banks!! in Piggy and Bear versions, they look really cool, and with 'Doodle' Clocks and Magnetic Memo Boards too, i think a bit of restocking in the gift department is on the horizon.

Zoobs are also on the menu in the near future, we're planning on adding several new kits. Our youngest son thinks they're pretty cool, so if they pass his test they must be good!!! And finally, after tracking the shipment from the Far East, it looks like we will be receiving the 'Jack Skellington' and 'Sofubi 8" Mario Figures' at some point today.

Don't Have a Cow Man.....

The January winds are blowing in off the unforgiving North Sea here in Scarborough, as the shop is relatively quiet we've been reorganising and sprucing up. A new shop has opened nearby recently selling Cardboard stand ups, Film and Football Memorabilia, the Simpsons cut outs took our eye and we bought 'Bart' for our shop display - we think he's pretty cool, you can check out the shop 'Starstruck' HERE , they're really friendly people too!!!

Girl Power

In 'Toys 'n' Playthings' the toy trade magazine it stated in one article that last Christmas girls were a bit limited to the choice of toys on offer, maybe this will change with the imminent launch this month of 'Mandy Mix Up' , the new girl dolls on the block which is apparently going to be clogging up the kids TV adverts for some months to come. It seems a strange month of the year to be launching a new range of toys, but hey what do we know??!! We'll be looking to get a selection of them when they become available, quote - "Each figure is made up of individual, interchangeable parts. Legs, torsos, heads hair and accessories can all be swapped around, allowing for endless combinations! With six figures to collect, plus a host of accessories, there's a Mandy Mixup for everyone!" -

After putting in an order to replenish our Uglydoll stocks, as well as introduce a couple of new ones (7" Pink Ox being one), These Yu-Gi-Oh GX Next Generation packs found themselves in our basket!!! With Yu-Gi-Oh cards selling several times what the other brands (Dr Who and WOW Included) do put together, we're sure they will be popular here in Scarborough. They should be hitting our shelves around the 23rd January.

Quote -"Enter the Next Generation! The most exciting collection of the hottest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG boosters combined into one blister pack! This is your chance to grab a Cybernetic Revolution, Elemental Energy, and Shadow of Infinity booster pack in one shot. In addition to these three must-have boosters, you also get the hard to find White-Horned Dragon!! which was originally a promo card that only existed in Japan and has been enhanced with an eye-catching Ultra Rare foil technology."

You can find our selection of Trading Card Games HERE .

Hey Ugly!!!

With Uglydolls seemingly unstoppable in their strides for World domination, their creators in the US seem to be coming up with new ways to keep them at the forefront of everyones thoughts, one thing which took our eye which seems to have recently become available in the States is the Uglydoll Card Game.

Quote - "The Awfully Fast, Awfully Fun Card Game - Join OX, Wedgehead and the rest of the Uglydolls in their first ever fast-action card game. Turn over cards until you spot three matching Uglys. Then race like an Ice-Bat out of Heck to grab a match before they all get snatched. Claim the most cards and you claim the game. Winning isn't always pretty, but it's always fun!"

With the Uglydoll stationery being popular, we're sure these will be a hit when/if they hit UK shores. Check out our Uglydoll section HERE.

Just In

The Great Gizmos order has just landed, and we've updated the website to reflect the new items available, which includes some great Arts 'n' Crafts ideas like Origami sets, Paper mache dino kit & Paint your own cow bank. Also some wonderful pocket money lines including Zoob15 starter sets, Colour Splash Fizzy Bath Tablets & the 4M2U mini squeezies. As always you can check them out at http://www.toytoyjac.co.uk/ , we're always delighted to hear from you, and if there is a product we don't currently stock but which you are interested in we are more than happy to try and source it for you.

Final Fantasy Trading Arts

OK, so another week is upon us, seems to have been quite a bit of interest in the Final Fantasy Trading Arts Figures in the past couple of days, they really are quite cool and unlike the Western release they are all individually boxed and there are 5 figures in this imported set as opposed to 4. Checking the web for prices we seem very competitive on price, the average for this set seems to be around £15 / $30 , so at £9.95 for all 5 we don't expect them to be around for long!!! check them out HERE

Well we've got another order off to replenish the Mario Bros. figures, we've also ordered some larger 8" Mario figures, and some 12" 'Jack Skellington' Nightmare Before Christmas Figures which look cool (see pic), these should all arrive at the end of January.

The 'Great Gizmos' order should arrive sometime next week, with some real goodies, including; 'Paint your own Cow bank', 'Origami sets', 'Make your own Soccer game', and some more of the wonderful 4M2U little mini squeezies in 'Mini Rainbow Duckies' and 'Glow Sheep' flavours!!!

We've been getting quite a few enquiries for 'Designer Vinyl' items both at the shop and online, we currently have 2 suppliers for these products; Strangeco in the US and Artoyz in France. We will be extending our range further at some point this year, there are some items which are not out yet which have taken our eye, so stay tuned.

New Arrivals This Week

Among the new arrivals in stock this week were 'Super Mario Bros.' figures, imported from the land of the rising sun, we thought they looked quite cool, but at the end of the day it's difficult to tell until you get them in your hands. No sooner had we unpacked the case someone came into the shop and bought two, then within 30 mins another person bought two (remember Scarborough at this time of year with the kids back at school resembles a ghost town in Siberia). So it looks like they are going to sell well, only problem we only bought 4 dozen, and within 4 days we're down to 3 dozen, hopefully we'll be able to get another load by the end of the month, check them out HERE .

Other arrivals this week included; Official Square Enix Final Fantasy Trading Figures, Revoltech Danboard Figures, as well some more 'pocket money' lines including some wonderful Smiley face juggling balls. As always you can check everything out online at http://www.toytoyjac.co.uk/ . And remember we always love to hear from you about any of our products.

Welcome to the ToyToyjac Blog

First Post on the ToyToyjac Blog!! We've been thinking about doing a blog for a while now, and with the 2008 kicking in we thought we'd dive in and make a start. We will be regularly posting articles about both our Retail and Online shops, our products and our thoughts, we welcome your comments, thoughts and feedback.

As a great fan of, as well as stockist of Uglydolls we thought we'd introduce our current favourite character - 'Big Toe' , he's one of our best sellers, and we've recently got him in little ugly 7" size. The Uglydolls have proven to be a big hit here in Scarborough, as much with Mums and Dads as with kids, one lady before Christmas was so taken with them she bought 7 for her family! But then who can blame her? They've got to be the 'cutest' plushies in the world right?!
