Hawking it........

The amazingly popular Tech Decks have been flying out......We've got some more of the Tony Hawk Sk8 Parks due in this week. Also some the Crazy Bones Advanced tins (hurrah! - one little chap has been into the shop every Saturday for the past 4 weeks for one of these), and some more Pokemon stocks (hopefully some more A4 StormFront Folders), Mario Kart Gacha :).... and restocking a few other lines.

Before Christmas we hope to get some of the new World of Warcraft Miniature Deluxe sets, and restock the Football Monopoly's (but we won't hold our breath!), and Gachas.....Still plenty of time to order online (although last orders for Europe - Airmail will be the 10th), last orders for mainland UK for Christmas delivery will be 19th December....Stay sane :).....

Hello Kitty.....

Just in, following on from the 1 million selling Hello Kitty Pom Pom Gacha comes the new Hello Kitty Charm Tin Gacha, sure to be a hit with Kawaii fans everywhere!! Also with them the new Pokemon Blockbuster Edition 2 Gacha, and some more Mario Kart Gacha (though not enough, and they're nearly all gone already!! - But fingers crossed we'll have some more next week).

The second wave of the Pokemon holiday tins 2008 are also in (for now), with Regigigas or Heatran as the chase cards, they're going to be top of every Pokemon fans list this Christmas.

There should be few new arrivals over the next week (but we're holding firm until we know for sure!). Halo ActionClix are nearly out, and it looks like we're going to struggle to restock before Christmas (showing as 'back order' at suppliers), the same with Axis & Allies.

Great Britain in a tube? It's got to be Logista!!

Following on from our piece about Logista making it's way across the Atlantic, bringing the best our little island has to offer to one family in the USA. The Logista people have recently produced a video, which is being shown on Sky TV Life Channel from Monday 1st December - but you can check it below if you fancy a sneak peak :)..... There cannot be many boardgames which not only are British invented, but also produced, and showing true British genius, not only is the game fun for all the family, but it teaches children basics in Geography, Maths and more!! We don't like to mention the 'C' word, certainly not yet, there's Halloween and Bonfire night to still get out of the way, and we're nearly 2 months away from the BIG day. But with local shop windows being transformed into 'Winter Wonderlands', and shoppers senses being bombarded with festive hints, we've started to stock up on some Stocking Fillers, like these Gourmet Smencils - Made from 100% Recycled Newspapers, and infused with delicious aromas they're a big hit with us, each comes in it's own 'test tube', and the aroma lasts for up to 2 years!! .

Pokemon hit by Exchange Rates!!!!

Wow, the 'financial crunch' situation seems to be seeping everywhere. The new Pokemon series 'StormFront' has been hit by the woeful value of the Pound against the Dollar (UK Distributors import them from the States). We don't think many shops will be able to provide discounts on these boosters and decks in the UK :(........

On a better note we've got a limited number of 'Pokemon Collectors Boxes' & 'Pokemon 2008 Power Packs' due in today / tomorrow..... Happy Days.....

Half Term.....Again!!!

Half Term already!!! The weather's turning colder, to wind and rain - so we guess it's obvious the kid's have broken up!!!

It's been a good start, it's nice to see the kids (many from away) - e.g. A family from 'Newcastle way' we met in the summer were in today, and we could hear their screams from 200m !!! Mum said the first stop had to be 'The Dungeons' (our shop is in the converted Bonded warehouse of our Victorian Indoor Market - and yes they are like Dungeons!!!! - but very cool, some really nice shops - opposite us is a guy who sells native American goods, he goes over to the USA at least once a year for a month buying).....

Tech Decks going well, Gacha, Uglydolls and Pokemon / Yu-Gi-Oh...... re-stocking HaloClix soon (promise, we know people have been waiting), too many new incomings to mention now!!! And we've got some really special things lined up for 2009!! (more later)...

Evolution takes time......

The new Crazy Bones series 2 - Evolution are in such short supply at the moment that we've delayed putting them online, we have some coming in tomorrow - but the quantity is so small that we'll just have them at the shop (1 box of boosters and a handful of Albums!!!). We have some Storage boxes coming in though. With three sources/distributors we'll be trying get decent stocks as soon as possible!!!!

Moxy's got a lot of Moxy....

Moxy's got a lot of "moxy". She's a real get up and go Ugly, with far more energy than her older brother OX. Moxy's favourite activity seems to be bouncing off the walls and jumping in and out of mischief. Her giant antennas are always on the look out for a good time, and she can hear a party from miles away. She could hear you coming from all the way back over there!

Great things in small packets...!!

Bubbles are bubbles right?..... Wrong, 'Catchable, Touchable Bubbles' are different, the size gets you first - each packet contains a tiny (and we mean tiny) heart shaped container, but not only do you get your monies worth (25p per packet) - they are super cool, literally hundreds of tiny 'Catchable' bubbles, yes catchable!!!! Our youngest son was playing with them one night, and there were still a few bubbles intact on the table the next morning!!! There's been a run on them in the shop, which is why we currently haven't got any left in stock - but rest assured, we'll be restocking them this month...:)......in the meantime you can always check all the Pocket Money Items out at ToyToyjac first........

Who said Cheats don't prosper!!!!!

Well in the sense of fun, we guess it's OK, and the game is designed by the multi award winning toy guru Reiner Knizia. The Ben 10 YO! Card Game involves 'bluffing' and 'cheating'! your way to victory, housed in a 'take anywhere' case which also has sliders on to keep track of the score, this is one fun game for up to four players.....

More Crazy Bones in too, still waiting on the Series 2 Evolution - but hopefully they will be in around this time next week. Hopefully more Baby.Bow products too, these really are super quality gifts, we are really pleased with them, and you can check them out HERE. Pokemon Crazy........

Well the 'Little Tokyo's' hit the shelves yesterday!!! (they look pretty cool too :))...... And with them some Pokemon Goodies - 2008 Wave 1 Holiday Tins, Pokemon Dog Tags & a few (handful) of Japanese Southern Island Card Sets (see pic) - but only the 'Tropical Island - Jungle' set.

Southern Island was originally released in Japan for the second movie: Revelation Lugia (known as The Power of One in English). It contained 18 cards, where three cards are part of a section. There were six sections, where three sections belong in a category:Rainbow Island: Sky, Field of Flowers, & Riverside. Tropical Island: Beach, Jungle, & Sea. These can sell for up to US$20 per pack of three cards in the States, so at £3.25 they're a Bargain for Pokemon collectors everywhere!!!

Slight Delay.....

Slight delay on the 'Little Tokyo's' unfortunately, we're not sure if we got the wrong end of the stick, but they're coming into the distributors this Friday, so we should have them on Monday 29th / Tuesday 30th. But then what's a week between friends? :P.........

Little Tokyo comes to town....

As mentioned yesterday, we have ordered some 'Little Tokyo's' , a new release from Exit toys in Barcelona. More detailed and more colourful than their 'cousins' the Crazy Bones, looks like they've a good chance to muscle in on the playgrounds up and down the country, with 4 figures per pack, and 36 in total to collect / trade and play with for 99p - only time will tell.... Incoming hopefully Monday 22nd / Tuesday 23rd September...

We're not completely taken over with Azeroth (honestly!)

Yeah we're not completely head over heels for everything Warcraft related.... But these have just come to our attention (World of Warcraft Miniatures), we guess it was a matter of time before Azeroth was shrunk into a table top collectible game with it's already huge fan base online and TCG's. By the looks of the figures, they have a similar base to the Action/Hero/Horror Clix figures, so we imagine it will be a pretty straight forward and fun game. With a UK release pencilled in for November 2008, we guess a few stockings will be bulging on Christmas morning this year, only disappointment so far seems the price (they are priced quite a bit more than other comparable games - Clix's and Star Wars Mini's, and there doesn't seem to be much room to offer them at much less than the RRP). Still time will tell.......

Mario and friends are finally on their way, unfortunately no Final Fantasy Trading Arts series 2 figures, but we've got some more series 1, and also some 5" Sonic Vinyl Action Figures - but we're saving these for the shop (we could only get a few)....... Fingers crossed and they should be touching down the end of next week. With restocking Yu-Gi-Oh & Pokemon Cards, and Uglydolls, together with new releases of FT Champs and some other items which have taken our eye, it looks like it's going to be a busy couple of weeks.....

New horizons.....

Well the kids are gearing up for their new year at school, and yes some have already started out!! Here in Scarborough they go back next week, so good luck to you all in your new classes :).... And especially those who are sitting their exams this year, it's a stressful time....As if being a teenager wasn't hard enough they have to pile on more agony with exams and expectations..!!

Busy time this August has been, both in shop and online :).... We've met some wonderful people and families from all over the UK this summer. This last week (7 days) we've sold a record number (for us) of Uglydolls (just over 40!!), and Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon Cards are doing well too, we're still down to the bare bones of the Mario figures till new stocks arrive, and we're looking forward to some great new arrivals over the Autumn....

With the release of FT Champs, more new Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, some new Science and Art kits, Hero Clix, and Star Wars Mini's...... The list is endless, but then the horizon seems to last forever :)......So Enjoy.....

Well the Uglydoll reservations have come in!!!! But for some reason they've been flying out this week both in the shop and online, and it looks like we're going to have order more next week!!!!

In with the restock is the 'new for 2008' Puglee..... Think you'll agree she's one cool doll :)..... "Puglee is super smart. How can you tell? You know how they say if you get really good grades, you'll have a better shot at getting a really great job? Well Puglee figured out that a great way to avoid getting a job was to get the worst possible grades ever! Only and F- would do. But here's the problem...Puglee LOVES to read, write and count. So she gets all A's no matter how hard she tries!"

Fingers crossed, and next week will be very Ugly!!!

Yes, hopefully next week fresh supplies of Uglydolls will be hitting the UK, so hopefully all the customers waiting patiently for their doll will be satisfied :)...We'll also be giving you free postage too on the ones you enquired about :-D.....The new Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon TCG's will be with us by Wednesday, a few more Crazy Bones Storage Boxes, Crazy Bones, and hopefully a couple of surprises too...

Still awaiting confirmation about the fresh supplies of Mario figures from the land of the rising sun, so we've also enquired about some Final Fantasy Trading Arts vol.2 too (as well as some more vol.1 ones as we're running low), vol.2(see pic.) sees the introduction of some favourites spread across the series, including Auron from FFX super-deformed into 2.5" mini detailed figures..

Thinking about getting a stock of the Star Wars Miniature RPG figures for the shop too, the Halo Clix are doing quite well, and we get plenty of enquires about table top gaming stuff.... There will be two tins in the first wave, 'Red Dragon' and 'Stardust Dragon', and each tin will contain (as well as the usual cover mounted 'chase card') 5 boosters (2 Duelist Genesis, 2 Phantom Darkness & 1 Light of Destruction), and also a special 'promo pack' containing a tournament coupon and 3 exclusive cards (from a mini set of 9).... The Duelist Genesis boosters which are included are the first booster set based around the new 5D's rules, these are due for UK release in September, so the people who get the tins early on will be the first to get their hands on them.!!

Yes we're running out of Mario figures again, we've just put another order in for another 200 figures, it's amazing....This will be the 5th shipment of Mario figures!!! Yoshi is currently out of stock, and the others are nearly there!!! With them we're hoping to restock the Final Fantasy Trading Arts sets, and introduce the Trading Arts series 2 figure sets which feature Auron from FFX....Ben 10 trading cards are now in stock, new stock of Liverpool F.C. We've got some cool goodies coming soon, including Shockinis for all you 'toy collecting, customising, cool people'!! Each Shockini has 18 points of articulation, and can be customised to your liking - not only with interchangeable parts, but the creative types amongst you can paint them to your own design, these really are the ultimate desktop buddy..:)..... We're also hoping to get a few World of Warcraft Adventure board games; Aqua Bead sets & MagPlanets (these sound really cool)..

With more supplies of Crazy Bones, Mandy Mix up and Halo ActionClix coming in, as well as more Liverpool F.C. Monopoly!! (We have found the Liverpool F.C. edition of Monopoly has outsold all the other 3 we stock put together.... Looks like Manchester United, Chelsea & Arsenal better watch out this season!!!)....

Ground Control to Major Ben.....

The Ben 10 Collectable Card Game (CCG) hits the streets (well the distributors on 8/8/08), so hopefully, unless our pre-order has been eaten by aliens we should have them in stock sometime next week :)........ Courtesy of Bandai the card game comes in Starter Decks at £7.95 and booster packs at £2.45, the starter decks (obviously) contain everything needed to start playing (40 card deck, playmat & guide), the boosters contain 7 cards (4 common, 2 uncommon & 1 rare) - also approximately 1 in 3 packs contain a super rare!!! so you can customise your playing deck further.

Visitor Numbers up 9%!!!!!

It's official, this year visitor numbers are up 9% to 'Sunny' Scarborough, and who can blame them? In these days of depressing news, of credit crunches and rising bills, it's nice too see people look closer to home for a holiday or break. Scarborough has everything; The Sea, Wonderful Beaches, Award winning Parks, Museums, Superb Restaurants, the World famous 'Stephen Joseph Theatre', in fact something for every age group, and it's only going to get better with the start of the new £130 million development on the North Side, and multi million pound plans elsewhere in the town. Just in, a limited number of Cubeworld twin packs, in series 2 & 3 guises, but at £10.99 (rrp £19.99) they will provide not only hours of fun but a serious saving to your pockets!!

Cartoon Crazy.....

The adventures of 10 year old Ben Tennyson has proved to be a huge hit on the Cartoon Network. We have recently received some Ben 10 Micro Figure packs, there are 18 different figures to collect in total, and each 'triple pack' contains 3 figures and 3 packets of Galactic Jelly Beans!! Over the next month we hope to be getting some more Ben 10 goodies in the form of Puzzles and Omnitrix Card Duel game....Cosmic :)........

If that wasn't enough Galactic mayhem to contend with we've also just received some Alien Egg Twins...'Good and Evil Aliens' in gooey gel, nice....

With Crazy Bones being rationed at the moment throughout the UK, we're struggling to keep up with demand, but we've just got a few more boxes of boosters in, and some more Albums and Storage Boxes... Get them while you can!!!

Yeah OK.... but these look super cool..... Zelda Phantom Hour Glass Gacha, with five figures to collect and trade, we can't wait....:)....With the summer holidays gearing up for lift off around the UK, and the weather starting to turn Autumnal (as per usual) we've got some really cool things we're planning on getting this month; Marvel micro figures, new Pokemon Gacha, Yu-Gi-Oh Retro packs, more Alien Eggs, Pigglie pens, Final Fantasy mini trading arts figures vol.2, new for 2008 Puglee Uglydoll, and more!!!!
